お家時間が増えた今、需要が急に増えたデリバリーとテイクアウト…そしてその影響で増えた使い捨てプラスチックの容器の消費。

私は今のところデリバリーの食事は一回も注文していませんが、テイクアウトを何回かしています。ただし、できる限り自分の容器に入れてもらうようにして買っています。そうすることで、家に帰ってからプラスチックのゴミも出ず、本当はお店側も容器のコスト削減できるという、一石二鳥。あ、あとは、容器持参したことで割引してもらったことも何回かあります。

With the recent situation, there's been a big increase in demand for delivery and takeout food services. And with that of course comes the increased use of single-use plastic containers, cutlery, and other items.

I haven't actually ordered a delivery meal so far, but I've taken out dishes. But when I do do that, I make sure to use my own container / bento box for it! Yes, the environment is the main reason here, but also look, it's really much more pleasant to come home and just not have to look at the ton of single-use plastics that one meal generates. It's you who has to go to the bins after all! And the stores save on container costs. Win-win.

しかし、買う側もお店側も、事前に容器を使いたいことについてコミュニケーションを取ることことが大事！
混んでいる時に無理やり頼むのは嫌だし、特に今は衛生について敏感になりがちの状況なので、お互い気持ちよく対応できるように私は事前に問い合わせてから行くようにしています。

インスタグラムでコミュニティに投げかけたところ、実は都内でも色々なところがゼロウェイストのテイクアウトに対応してくれているようなので、数件紹介したいと思います♡まだまだたくさんあると思うので、インスタグラムなどにアップして共有し合いましょう！

One thing I feels important is the communication you take before you attempt takeouts with your own container(s).
I wouldn't want to cause a fuss during a busy time or turn up unannounced with my request, especially during a time where sanitization is a concern. 
So I have been making sure to contact the restaurant/cafe ahead of my visit, asking whether it's possible. 

I've reached out to you, the community, on Instagram, to collect some places that allow zerowaste takeouts. So here they are, in no particular order! I'm sure there are plenty more places – please do share them on Instagram or elsewhere for everyone to see!

スガハラフォー / Sugahara Pho (Shinsen)  
Amazingly fresh Vietnamese food (and organic wines). Perhaps the only restaurant that I have seen actively stating on Instagram that they are happy to plate up any dish in customers' dishes/containers! Helpful if you order food in advance, especially as there are busy times in the evening. Do say that you are bringing your own containers.
すごーく新鮮な本格的ベトナム料理（＋オーガニックワインなど！）。この状況で容器持参を受け付けていると自ら投稿しているのを始めて見たお店です。事前注文と容器を持参することをお伝えできるとスムーズ。日替わりメニューはインスタグラムとfacebookにあります。

Falafel Brothers (Ebisu/Roppongi)
Always have been happy to accept your own containers. Especially works well for the falafel rice plate, which is my favorite dish anyway. Take an extra box for cakes and other desserts served at the Ebisu branch. Best to order ahead and let them know that you'll bring your container for quicker takeouts!
おなじみのファラブロさんは、普段からお弁当箱に対応いただいているので安心です！私の一番好きなファラフェルライスプレートが自分の容器に入れるにはピッタリ。ピタに入っているファラフェルなどはどうせ手で持って帰れる感じなので、簡単。美味しいヴィーガンケーキなども興味があれば、追加で容器を持って行きましょう！事前注文すると早いです。

Vivo Tokyo (いくつかロケーションあり / various locations)
Usually a bar serving hot and cold small dishes as delicious bar snacks – currently actively doing takeouts, and they have confirmed that bringing your own container is no problem!
Note: some dishes may already be pre-packed in plastic containers so you might want to check in-store.
通常はバーでお酒のお供として出る美味しい小さめプレートの料理が今はテイクアウトの対象に！確認したら自分の容器はOK。メニューによってはすでにプラスチック容器に入って並んでいるものもあるので、要チェック。

すぱいす暮らし / Spice Kurashi (Gakugeidaigaku)
Yummy counter-seat diner serving anything spice-related. Their main attraction are definitely their curries, which they are happy to serve up in your own container. Bring an extra thermos-type jar or container to take out their tasty miso soup. Confirmed that there is no need to order food ahead, if you have the time to wait a little.
スパイス関連の美味しいお料理をカウンター席で食べれるお店。やはりカレーが目当てで行くべき！容器持参は助かるといっていただけました。友達によると、お味噌汁もすごく美味しいので、それ用の容器も持って行くとなお良いそう。

広洋舎 / Koyosha Cafe (Komae)
I haven't been myself, but: a range of pastas and also desserts can be taken out in your own container – and even better, you receive 50 yen off if you do the BYO-takeout! Win for the planet, win for your wallet.
私は実際行ったことがないのですが、容器持参を推進しているお店です！持って行くと50円引きしてくださるそう。パスタやケーキなど色々あるので、食べたいものに合わせて容器を持って行きましょう。

 
Himalaya Curry (いくつかロケーションあり / various locations)
Located around central Tokyo, this place was happy to accomodate on the spot when we took a container for the curry, a cotton bag for the naan, and a repurposed glass bottle for the lassi. Take another one if you want the side salad that comes with a lunch set.
友達がトライしてみたところ、その場で対応いただけました！容器にカレー、パンガルーのバッグにナン、そして再利用している瓶にラッシーを。ランチセットのサラダも希望の方は容器をもう一つ持ちましょう。

Organic Table by Lapaz (Gaienmae/Omotesando)
One of the best vegan places in Tokyo, can also place your lunch orders in your own containers according to a zerowaste buddy. Their vegan karaage takeout came with salad dressings and sauces, so if you want those in your own container, make sure to take additional smaller ones. 
ここのヴィーガンバーガーが最高！以下のゼロウェイスト仲間の方はソイ唐揚げ弁当を持参した容器に入れてもらったようです。ただし、サラダやドレッシングなどを計算していなかったので容器が足りなかったとおっしゃっていたので、小さな入れ物もいくつか持つと良いかも！

Gallo / ガッロ (Yotsuya Sanchome)
You may be missing out on the wonderful counter service of this gourmet yakitori place (which serves also delicious organic vegetables directly from their Chiba farm), but they accept takeouts in your own container for both lunch menu and dinner. Please call ahead for a heads up. Great selection of organic wines also available by ml, so bring a bottle...
素敵なカウンター席での焼き鳥やオーガニックの自家製野菜などは食べれないですが、ランチもディナーも持参容器でテイクアウト可能とのこと！自然派ワインも量り売り可能であるそうなので、ぜひボトルをお持ちください！事前にお電話で予約することを勧めるのと、その際に容器を持って行くことをお伝えしましょう。

Kiboko (Shinjuku Sanchome)
Popular vegan place Kiboko accepts your own container for all dishes. Eye up their delicious carrot cake. Currently open for shorter hours from 11:30-17:00 during the week (please check with them for latest information!)
人気のヴィーガン料理店。友達が持参の容器でランチを購入していました。キャロットケーキがすごく美味しそうなので、それ用の入れ物も忘れずに…

HACARI (Nakameguro)
A greengrocers that has not been fully package-free but is all about buying by weight – so plenty of vegetables and fruits are available naked. And they offer 10% off their deli if you bring your own container!
量り売りをコンセプトに、美味しいお野菜やフルーツが買えるお店！すべてがパッケージフリーではなかった記憶ですが、お惣菜は容器を持参すると10%割引いただけたりなど、いつも色々取り組んでいらっしゃいます！

nue by Totoya (Yoyogi)
Not serving dishes, but nue by Totoya is probably the most dedicated zerowaste store in Tokyo that sells organic dried foods such as nuts, dried fruits, pasta, as well as olive oil, honey and wines. No packaging at all, so bringing your own container is a given here! Currently also doing deliveries while we are all self-isolating. 
ご存知の方も多いですが、都内でここまでゼロウェイストを追求しているのはnue by Totoyaくらいですかね… テイクアウトのお店ではないですが、ドライパスタ類、ナッツ、ドライフルーツ、オリーブオイル、蜂蜜、ワインなどをすべて量り売りで買えます。小包装はないので、ご自身の容器はここでは基本！自粛中はオンラインの注文も可能。
